After a disastrous 2nd qualifier in Belmont, where our redesign from Saratoga had lot of glitches and bugs, we bounced back strongly and became 3d seed alliance captain for semi-finals. We picked Bots and Bytes (14162) and Teknoforce (8804) for our alliance. Unfortunately we lost both our games, in one because our robot ran into a seam in the wall, went diagonally into the lander, got caught in its base and went up on 2 wheels, which let the power button hit the bottom of the lander and turned the robot off in a freak occurrence that had never happened. Our opposing alliance was very strong and set a record score anyway. But still, to end our rookie season with being a 3d seeded alliance captain was not too shabby, in a field of 32.
